Florence Nightingale is one of the most prominent nursing theorists out there. I think every nurse knows who she is because she truly transformed nursing. I also don’t think she had any idea the impact she would create. Nightingale encouraged nurses to be independent and educated. I also liked how you talked about Patricia Benner and her thoughts on leadership in nursing. I use Florence Nightingale and Patricia Benner’s ideas in my work currently. I try to be independent, educated, and a leader through my role. I also want to encourage others to do the same through my actions. How do you show leadership, independence, and education through your role at your job? Being a nurse and doing this is a very important part of our jobs.
