Description	Vaccine hesitancy refers to the reluctance of a specified population to vaccinate against a vaccine-preventable disease despite the availability of vaccines. In 2019, cases of measles outbreaks in countries that had eliminated the disease have been attributed to vaccine hesitancy. Vaccination hesitancy is caused by various aspects which include lack of adequate community sensitization, lack of confidence in the vaccines, and social and cultural beliefs.
