Healthy Workplace Inventory Discussion
Healthy Workplace Inventory Discussion
Assignment: Workplace Environment Assessment
Clearly, diagnosis is a critical aspect of healthcare. However, the ultimate purpose of a diagnosis is the development and application of a series of treatments or protocols. Isolated recognition of a health issue does little to resolve it.

RE: Discussion – Week 7
COLLAPSE
Nice post, Lenick.
It is very important that a workplace is safe for the workers because an unsafe work environment can have unpleasant events take place there, and can negatively affect the overall health of the staff. A safe workplace environment promotes good communication, understanding, teamwork and productivity.
According to Marshall & Broome (2018), the American Nurses Association has launched several initiatives to raise professional, social, and policy consciousness about health, safety, and quality for nurses and health care leaders, including its Healthy Work Environment program, which maintains that the workplace should be safe, empowering, and satisfying (ANA, 2016).
Marshall & Broome (2018) further stated that another key aspect of safety that has recently come to the forefront for nursing leadership is that of employee and nurse safety. Rogers (1997) outlined five areas of risks or hazards for nurses and other health care workers: biological and infectious disease risks, chemical hazards, environmental hazards, physical risks, and psychological risks.
Sadly, the current trend of the corona virus leaves some nurses working in an unsafe environment whereby there is gross shortage of PPE, exposing the nurses to infections, that could otherwise be prevented with sufficient use of PPE.
“Establishing a safe and healthful working environment requires every employer — large and small — and every worker to make safety and health a top priority. The entire work force — from the CEO to the most recent hire — must recognize that worker safety and health is central to the mission and key to the profitability of the American company”(MBDA, 2015)
