Patients can find differentiating managed care plans to be a confusing and complicated process. Practice assisting patients with this task by developing a brochure that differentiates components of 3 managed care organizations and 1 consumer-directed health plan.
Instructions: Create a patient brochure to differentiate several managed care plans.
Prepare a brochure (in Microsoft Word) to provide to a prospective patient.
The brochure should contain:
An explanation of managed care
A summary of the purpose of cost-sharing
An explanation of forms of cost-sharing
Identification of 3 managed care organizations and 1 consumer-directed health plan
A graphical summary showing key provisions for each of the 3 managed care organizations and 1 consumer-directed health plan (this can be in the form of an organizational chart, table, SmartArt, etc.). Include the forms of cost-sharing in the graphical summary.
