HC 250 week 5 Herzing University Conflict Resolution Skills
HC 250 week 5 Herzing University Conflict Resolution Skills
Since workplace conflicts are inevitable, learning to deal with them in a healthy way is crucial. When conflicts are mismanaged, they negatively affect workplace productivity, but when handled in a respectful and positive way, they provide an opportunity for growth, ultimately enhancing employees’ productivity. This week, you will learn common conflict resolution techniques and skills that will enhance their abilities to successfully manage and resolve conflicts in workplaces.
When the elder John D. Rockefeller was setting up the Standard Oil Company, he said, “The ability to deal with people is as purchasable a commodity as sugar or coffee, and I will pay more for that ability than for any other under the sun.” The ability to deal with people is even more important today with the pressures of our fast-paced, highly diverse environments. Being able to handle conflict in a productive way is frequently mentioned as one of the most challenging skills for people.
- Write a 2-page essay illustrating 5 major conflict resolution skills you learned from this week’s reading resources.
- Your assignment must be written in standard edited English per the APA guidelines.
- Be sure to support your work with at least two high-quality references, including at least one from peer-reviewed journals accessed through the Herzing University Library or other sources.
- Your assignment should show the effective application of triangulation of content and resources in your conclusion and recommendations.
