This study focuses on the on the perceptions of incivility by the students and faculty outside and inside the classroom. Education not only develops the professional career but also promotes social responsibility thus playing a major role in the growth of civil societies. |Data Collection Instruments and Approach||They emailed the nursing students and faculty the Incivility in Nursing Education survey (INE). The survey was open ended in order to get opinions of the students and faculty.||What was the background or development of this data source?

|Data Analysis Approach||They calculated INE’s reliability using Cronbach’s alpha (average of 0.82 for the faculty and 0.78 for the students). The authors separately analyzed the collected data and identified emerging themes (Clark, 2008b). Emerging themes included both in-class and out of class uncivilized behaviour and the causes of the behaviour. In-class incivility included dominating discussions, side-conversations and challenging professors on test scores. Out of class incivility included inappropriate emails, discrediting faculty and late assignment submissions.
